अन्यथा प्रतिपन्नास्ते विबुद्धा: स्वेषु कर्मसु । पुनरावृत्तिधर्माणस्ते भवन्तीह मानुषा:
anyathā pratipannās te vibuddhāḥ sveṣu karmasu | punarāvṛttidharmāṇas te bhavantīha mānuṣāḥ ||
Nhưng những kẻ đi theo một nẻo khác—dẫu tinh tường trong các bổn phận nghi lễ và thế tục của mình—vẫn thuộc về pháp trở lại. Vì thế, sau khi hưởng các cảnh giới cao hơn, họ lại quay về, và nơi cõi tử sinh này, họ lại làm người một lần nữa.

Even if one is competent and discerning in performing one’s duties and rituals, if the orientation is toward desired results, one remains bound to punarāvṛtti (return/rebirth). Higher attainments are not final liberation; the cycle continues until attachment is transcended.
Vāyudeva explains a doctrinal point: certain people follow an alternative course and, though knowledgeable in their actions, are characterized by return. After experiencing higher realms, they come back and take human birth again in this world.
