अत्यागश्चाभिमानश्चव मोहो मन्युस्तथाक्षमा । मत्सरश्रैव भूतेषु तामसं वृत्तमिष्यते
atyāgaś cābhimānaś ca moho manyus tathākṣamā | matsaraś caiva bhūteṣu tāmasaṁ vṛttam iṣyate ||
Thần Vāyu nói: “Tính keo kiệt (khước từ bố thí), kiêu mạn, mê muội, sân giận, bất nhẫn, và lòng ganh ghét đối với muôn loài—lối hành xử ấy được xem là tāmasa, sinh từ bóng tối và trì độn.”
