Kārtavīrya–Samudra Saṃvāda and the Jāmadagnya Precedent (आश्वमेधिक पर्व, अध्याय २९)
त॑ समुद्रो नमस्कृत्य कृताञज्जलिरुवाच ह । मा मुज्च वीर नाराचान् ब्रूहि कि करवाणि ते
taṁ samudro namaskṛtya kṛtāñjalir uvāca ha | mā muñca vīra nārācān brūhi kiṁ karavāṇi te ||
Bấy giờ, Thần Biển hiện ra, cúi đầu kính cẩn, chắp tay mà thưa: “Xin đừng bắn những mũi tên thép nhọn nữa, hỡi dũng sĩ. Hãy nói cho ta biết—ta phải làm gì theo ý ngài? Những mũi tên lớn ngài đã phóng đang giết hại các sinh linh cư trú trong thân ta. Xin ban cho họ sự vô úy.”
