Adhyāya 26 — Ekākṣara-Brahman (“Om”) and the Hṛdayastha Guru

अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् | प्रजापतौ पन्नगानां देवर्षीणां च संविदम्
atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | prajāpatau pannagānāṃ devarṣīṇāṃ ca saṃvidam pūrvakālam ||
Ngay tại đây nữa, bậc học giả viện dẫn một tiền lệ cổ xưa: chuyện xưa kể lại cuộc đối thoại đã diễn ra từ thuở lâu đời, trước mặt Prajāpati, giữa loài rắn thần Nāga và các thánh hiền thiên giới (devarṣi). Người đời nhắc lại như một tấm gương răn dạy để hiểu rõ điều đang bàn luận.
