Kṛṣṇa–Arjuna Saṃvāda in Indraprastha: Consolation, Legitimation, and Leave for Dvārakā (आश्वमेधिकपर्व, अध्याय १५)
ऋषीणां देवतानां च वंशांस्तावाहतु: सदा । प्रीयमाणौ महात्मानौ पुराणावृषिसत्तमौ
ṛṣīṇāṃ devatānāṃ ca vaṃśāṃs tāv āhatuḥ sadā | prīyamāṇau mahātmānau purāṇāv ṛṣisattamau ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Hai bậc đại tâm ấy, những hiền triết cổ xưa, bậc tối thượng trong hàng ṛṣi, luôn dành cho nhau tình thâm. Trong mạch chuyện trò, họ không ngừng thuật lại các dòng dõi của chư thiên và các ṛṣi, lại còn kể những chuyện chiến tranh kỳ dị cùng những gian khổ do nó sinh ra—đặt kề nhau ký ức, truyền thống và cái giá đạo lý của xung đột.
