वैशम्पायन उवाच एतावदुक्त्वा वचनमनुमान्य च पार्थिवम् | तथास्त्विति च तेनोक्त: कौन्तेयेन ययौ वनम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्! यों कहकर महर्षि व्यासने राजा युधिष्ठिरको राजी कर लिया और “बहुत अच्छा' कहकर जब युधिष्छिरने उनकी आज्ञा स्वीकार कर ली, तब वे वनमें अपने आश्रमपर चले गये
vaiśampāyana uvāca | etāvad uktvā vacanam anumānya ca pārthivam | tathāstv iti ca tenoktaḥ kaunteyena yayau vanam ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Tâu đại vương, nói xong những lời ấy, bậc hiền triết Vyāsa đã khiến nhà vua thuận theo. Và khi người con của Kuntī đáp: ‘Xin được như vậy,’ tiếp nhận lời chỉ dạy của hiền giả, thì Vyāsa liền lên đường vào rừng, trở về đạo tràng (āśrama) của mình.”
