Educational Q&A

Even the most eminent figures—kings, queens, and revered mothers—are subject to impermanence; the narrative invites detachment, acceptance of karma’s fruition, and steadiness in dharma when confronted with loss.

Nārada reports that Gāndhārī, Kuntī (Pṛthā), and Dhṛtarāṣṭra perished in a forest fire during their forest-dwelling stage, while Sañjaya escaped alive.
