अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

श्वशुराय तत: कुन्ती प्रणम्य शिरसा तदा,तब कुन्तीने मस्तक झुकाकर श्वशुरको प्रणाम किया और लज्जित हो प्राचीन गुप्त रहस्यको प्रकट करते हुए कहा

śvaśurāya tataḥ kuntī praṇamya śirasā tadā

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Bấy giờ Kuntī cúi đầu đảnh lễ cha chồng. Với sự dè dặt khiêm cung, bà bắt đầu bộc lộ một bí mật cổ xưa đã bị che giấu từ lâu—một khoảnh khắc đặt lòng khiêm hạ và lời nói thật lên trên nỗi hổ thẹn riêng, để phụng sự dharma.
