धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनप्रस्थानम् — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Departure for Forest Life
प्रविष्टा इव शोकेन नाभ्यनन्दन्त किंचन । सम्भाष्यमाणा अपि ते न किंचित् प्रत्यपूजयन्,जो पहले प्रतिदिन राजकीय कार्योंमें निरन्तर आसक्त रहते थे, वे ही उन दिनों नगरमें कहीं कोई राजकाज नहीं करते थे। मानो उनके हृदयमें शोकने घर बना लिया था। वे किसी भी वस्तुको पाकर प्रसन्न नहीं होते थे। किसीके बातचीत करनेपर भी वे उस बातकी ओर न तो ध्यान देते और न उसकी सराहना करते थे
vaiśampāyana uvāca | praviṣṭā iva śokena nābhyanandanta kiṃcana | sambhāṣyamāṇā api te na kiṃcit pratyapūjayan |
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Như thể nỗi sầu đã thấm nhập vào họ, họ chẳng vui thích điều gì. Dẫu có người trò chuyện, họ cũng không đáp lại bằng một lời tán thưởng hay kính trọng nào.”
