Dhṛtarāṣṭra Honored in the Post-war Court

Educational Q&A

Even after devastating conflict, dharma requires honoring and caring for elders and former adversaries. Yudhiṣṭhira’s royal generosity and Kuntī’s respectful service model ethical restraint, compassion, and the duty of reconciliation.

Vaiśaṃpāyana describes how Yudhiṣṭhira regularly provides Dhṛtarāṣṭra with royal comforts and abundant food, while Kuntī personally attends upon Gāndhārī, serving her like a devoted daughter-in-law.
