Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
अरुन्धती तु त॑ दृष्टवा सर्वांगोपचितं शुभम् | भवितारो भवन्तो वै नैवमित्यब्रवीदृूषीन्
Arundhatī tu taṁ dṛṣṭvā sarvāṅgopacitaṁ śubham | bhavitāro bhavanto vai naivam ity abravīd ṛṣīn ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Thấy vị khổ hạnh ấy, toàn thân sung mãn và rạng rỡ cát tường, Arundhatī nói với các hiền giả: ‘Chẳng lẽ các ngài sẽ không bao giờ được như thế sao?’—lời ấy như một thách thức, buộc họ suy ngẫm về nguyên nhân chân thật của sự ưu thắng tâm linh, chứ không chỉ là khổ hạnh bề ngoài.”
