Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
जगामेष्टं ततो देशं तदा भार्गवनन्दन । भार्गवनन्दन! ऐसा कहकर देवी गंगा वहीं अन्तर्धान हो गयीं और तेजस्वी अग्निदेव देवताओंका कार्य सिद्ध करके उस समय वहाँसे अभीष्ट देशको चले गये ।।
jagāmeṣṭaṃ tato deśaṃ tadā bhārgavanandana | etaiḥ karmaguṇaiḥ loke nāmāgneḥ parigīyate ||
Bhishma nói: “Rồi, hỡi người con yêu của dòng Bhārgava, ngài ấy lên đường đến miền đất mình mong muốn. Nói xong, nữ thần Gaṅgā liền ẩn mất tại chỗ; còn thần Agni rực sáng, sau khi thành tựu mục đích của chư thiên, cũng rời nơi ấy ngay lúc bấy giờ để đi đến chốn mình chọn. Nhờ những hành nghiệp và đức hạnh như vậy, danh Agni được đời ca tụng.”
