Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
शक्ता हासि महीं कृत्स्नां वोढुं धारयितुं तथा । न हि ते किंचिदप्राप्पमन्यतो धारणादृते,“देवि! तुम सारी पृथ्वीको धारण करनेमें समर्थ हो, फिर इस गर्भको धारण करना तुम्हारे लिये कुछ असाध्य नहीं है”
śaktā hāsi mahīṁ kṛtsnāṁ voḍhuṁ dhārayituṁ tathā | na hi te kiṁcid aprāpyam anyato dhāraṇād ṛte |
Bhīṣma nói: “Ôi Nữ Thần, Người đủ sức mang vác và nâng đỡ toàn cõi địa cầu. Vậy nên, việc cưu mang bào thai này đối với Người chẳng phải điều không thể đạt—không gì vượt quá Người, trừ điều vốn bất khả nếu không có chính sự nâng đỡ.”
