Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa

Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results

कृते च तस्मिन्‌ भविता तवापि सुमहान्‌ गुण:

kṛte ca tasmin bhavitā tavāpi sumahān guṇaḥ | tataḥ sampūrṇā devatā maharṣayaś ca tam ūcuḥ—“vayaṃ tvāṃ ekasmin kārye niyokṣyāmaḥ | tat tvayā kartavyam | tasya kāryasya sampādanāt tavāpi bahu mahān lābho bhaviṣyati” ||

Bhishma nói: “Và khi việc ấy hoàn thành, một công đức rất lớn cũng sẽ phát sinh cho ngươi.” Rồi chư thiên và các bậc đại thánh hiền đang tụ hội lại nói với Ngài: “Chúng ta sẽ giao cho ngươi một việc. Ngươi phải thực hiện. Khi hoàn tất công việc ấy, chính ngươi cũng sẽ được lợi ích vô cùng lớn.”
