Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
अग्निमित्येव तत् प्राहु: प्रदानं च सुखावहम् । यथेष्टगुणसंवृत्तं प्रवर्तकमिति स्मृतम्
agnim ity eva tat prāhuḥ pradānaṃ ca sukhāvaham | yatheṣṭa-guṇa-saṃvṛttaṃ pravartakam iti smṛtam ||
Vasiṣṭha nói: “Lễ vật này quả thật được gọi là ‘Agni’ (Lửa), và sự dâng hiến ấy đem lại an lạc. Người xưa ghi nhớ rằng: nó, được trang bị những đức tính theo điều người cho mong muốn, sẽ khởi động dòng chảy bố thí—khơi dậy ý muốn cho đi và tạo nên công đức cùng danh tiếng tốt đẹp đúng theo ý nguyện.”
