Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
स्कन्नमात्रं च तच्छुक्रे ख्रुवेण परिगृह्म सः । आज्यवन्मन्त्रतश्नापि सोडजुहोद् भूगुनन्दन
skannamātraṃ ca tacchukre khruveṇa parigṛhya saḥ | ājyavanmantrataś cāpi so 'dya juhod bhṛgunandana ||
Vasiṣṭha nói: “Ngay khoảnh khắc tinh dịch vừa rơi xuống, ông lập tức dùng muôi tế lễ (khruva) hứng lấy. Rồi, hỡi niềm hân hoan của dòng Bhṛgu, chính ông tụng các thần chú và dâng nó vào lửa như thể là bơ tinh luyện (ghṛta). Vì thế, dù gặp sự cố bất ngờ, ông vẫn hành xử với kỷ luật nghi lễ và tự chủ, biến một sự trượt ngã thành hành vi được điều phục, không để nó trở thành nguyên nhân của hỗn loạn.”
