Gavāṃ Māhātmya — Go-dāna, Yajña-ādhāra, and Goloka
Brahmā–Indra–Surabhi Itihāsa
पलालधूम्रवर्णा तु सवत्सां कांस्यदोहनाम् | प्रदाय वस्त्रसंवीतां पितृलोके महीयते
palāladhūmravarṇā tu savatsāṁ kāṁsyadohanām | pradāya vastrasaṁvītāṁ pitṛloke mahīyate ||
Vasiṣṭha nói: Ai bố thí một con bò có màu như khói rơm, cùng với bê con của nó, lại phủ cho nó tấm vải và trao kèm một bình vắt sữa bằng đồng, người ấy được tôn vinh và đạt danh vị trong cõi Tổ tiên (Pitṛloka).
