Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows

प्रत्यक्ष हि तथा होतद्‌ ब्राह्म॒णेषु तपस्विषु । बिभेति हि यथा शक्रो ब्रह्मचारिप्रधर्षित:

pratyakṣaṃ hi tathā hotad brāhmaṇeṣu tapasviṣu | bibheti hi yathā śakro brahmacāripradharṣitaḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Điều ấy quả thật được thấy rõ nơi các brāhmaṇa khổ hạnh: cũng như ngay cả Śakra (Indra) cũng phải khiếp sợ khi bị một brahmacārin kiên định công kích. Đó là quả báo hiển hiện của brahmacarya giữa hàng hiền triết. Nay hãy nghe ta nói về dharma phát sinh từ việc tôn kính mẹ, cha và các bậc trưởng thượng khác.”
