Pānīya-dāna and Anna-dāna: The Primacy of Life-Sustaining Gifts (पानीयदान-प्रशंसा / अन्नदान-प्रशंसा)
आदत्ते च रसान् भौमानादित्य: स्वगभस्तिभि: । वायुरादित्यतस्तांश्व रसान् देव: प्रवर्षति,सूर्य अपनी किरणोंसे पृथ्वीके रसोंको ग्रहण करते हैं। वायुदेव सूर्यसे उन रसोंको लेकर फिर भूमिपर बरसाते हैं
ādatte ca rasān bhaumān ādityaḥ sva-gabhastibhiḥ | vāyur ādityatas tāṁś ca rasān devaḥ pravarṣati ||
Nārada nói: Với những tia sáng của mình, Mặt Trời hút lấy tinh chất của đất (hơi ẩm và nhựa sống). Rồi Thần Gió nhận những tinh chất ấy từ Mặt Trời và khiến chúng rơi trở lại xuống đất thành mưa.
