दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च
Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food
ये रणाग्रे महीपाला: शूरा: समितिशोभना: । वध्यन्तेडभिमुखा: शक्र ब्रह्मलोकं॑ व्रजन्ति ते
ye raṇāgre mahīpālāḥ śūrāḥ samitiśobhanāḥ | vadhyante ’bhimukhāḥ śakra brahmalokaṃ vrajanti te devarāja ||
Bhīṣma thưa với Indra: “Hỡi Thiên vương! Những bậc quân vương anh hùng—rực rỡ giữa cuộc giao tranh—đứng nơi tiền tuyến, đối diện kẻ thù mà chiến đấu, nếu ngã xuống trong lúc đang đánh, thì đều đạt đến Phạm Thiên giới (Brahmaloka).”
