अन्तर्वेद्यां च यद् दत्तं श्रद्धया चानृशंस्यत: । किंस्विन्नै:श्रेयसं तात तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह
antarvedyāṁ ca yad dattaṁ śraddhayā cānṛśaṁsyaḥ | kiṁsvid naiḥśreyasaṁ tāta tan me brūhi pitāmaha ||
Yudhiṣṭhira thưa: “Kính thưa ông nội, xin nói cho con biết: giữa hai điều này, điều nào đem lại thiện ích cao hơn—bố thí trong phạm vi đàn tế với lòng tin, hay bố thí ngoài đàn tế do lòng từ mẫn và không tàn nhẫn thúc đẩy?”
