एवं पापैर्विनिर्मुक्तस्त्वं पूत: स्वर्गमाप्स्यसि । क्षत्रियोंके लिये वह कार्य राजसूय और अश्वमेध यज्ञोंस भी अधिक कल्याणकारी है। ऐसा करनेसे तुम सब पापोंसे मुक्त एवं पवित्र होकर स्वर्गलोकमें जाओगे ।।
evaṁ pāpair vinirmuktas tvaṁ pūtaḥ svargam āpsyasi | sañcayitvā punaḥ kośaṁ yadū rāṣṭra pālayiṣyasi ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Như vậy, khi đã thoát khỏi mọi tội lỗi, ngươi sẽ được thanh tịnh và đạt đến cõi trời. Rồi sau khi lại làm đầy quốc khố, ngươi sẽ bảo hộ vương quốc.”
