तपसा दीप्यमानास्ते दहेयु: पृथिवीमपि । अपूज्यमाना: कौरव्य पूजाहस्तु तथाविधा:

Transliteration

tapasā dīpyamānās te daheyuḥ pṛthivīm api | apūjyamānāḥ kauravya pūjyās tu tathāvidhāḥ kuru-nandana ||

Translation

Bhishma nói: “Hỡi Kauravya, niềm vui của dòng Kuru! Những bà-la-môn ấy, rực cháy bởi uy lực khổ hạnh, nếu bị bỏ mặc không được tôn kính, thì—nếu họ muốn—có thể thiêu rụi cả mặt đất này. Vì thế, hỡi Kauravya, những bà-la-môn như vậy thật đáng được thờ kính cung phụng.”
