पितामहस्यानवरो वीरशायी भवेन्नर: । नाधथिकं विद्यते यस्मादित्याहु: परमर्षय:

Transliteration

pitāmahasyānavaro vīraśāyī bhavennaraḥ | nādhikaṁ vidyate yasmād ityāhuḥ paramarṣayaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Người nào nằm trên ‘giường của bậc anh hùng’—tức ngã xuống nơi chiến địa—thì chẳng kém gì Đấng Tổ Phụ (Brahmā). Vì không có gì được xem là cao hơn Ngài, các bậc đại hiền triết đã tuyên bố như vậy.”
