रसानां प्रतिसंहारात्‌ सौभाग्यमिह विन्दति । आमिषप्रतिसंहारात्‌ प्रजा ह्यायुष्मती भवेत्‌

rasānāṁ pratisaṁhārāt saubhāgyam iha vindati | āmiṣa-pratisaṁhārāt prajā hy āyuṣmatī bhavet ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Nhờ rút lui khỏi các vị (lạc thú giác quan), con người đạt được phúc lành ngay trong đời này. Nhờ từ bỏ việc ăn thịt, con cháu của người ấy sẽ được trường thọ.”
