Dāna-Śreṣṭhatā: Abhaya, Anugraha, and the Ethics of Honoring the Worthy (दानश्रेष्ठता: अभय-अनुग्रह-विप्रपूजा)
ब्राह्माण्यं मे कुलस्यास्तु भगवन्नेष मे वर: । पुनश्चाख्यातुमिच्छामि भगवन् विस्तरेण वै,भगवन्! मेरा कुल ब्राह्मण हो जाय, यही मेरा अभीष्ट वर है। प्रभो! मैं इस विषयको पुनः विस्तारके साथ सुनना चाहता हूँ
brāhmaṇyaṁ me kulasyāstu bhagavann eṣa me varaḥ | punaś cākhyātum icchāmi bhagavan vistareṇa vai ||
Kuśika thưa: “Bạch đấng đáng tôn, xin cho dòng tộc của con đạt được địa vị và hạnh kiểm của bậc Bà-la-môn chân chính—đó là ân huệ con cầu. Và, bạch Chúa tể, con muốn được nghe lại việc này, được giảng giải tường tận hơn.”
