गन्धर्वा: पादपाश्रैव सर्वमन्तरधीयत । नि:शब्दम भवच्चापि गंगाकूलं॑ पुनर्न॒ूप

Transliteration

gandharvāḥ pādapāś caiva sarvam antaradhīyata | niḥśabdaṁ abhavac cāpi gaṅgākūlaṁ punar nṛpa ||

Translation

Bhishma nói: “Các Gandharva, và cả những hàng cây, đều biến mất khỏi tầm mắt ngay tức khắc. Và, ôi đại vương, bờ sông Hằng lại trở nên lặng im tuyệt đối.” (Như vậy, bậc brahmarshi Cyavana, nhờ uy lực yoga, đã khiến vua Kuśika rơi vào mê hoặc; chỉ trong một khoảnh khắc, cảnh rừng—các apsara, gandharva và cây cối—đều ẩn mất, để lại bờ sông yên tĩnh.)
