Cyavana Explains His Tests; Kuśika Seeks Brāhmaṇya for His Line (च्यवन–कुशिक संवादः)
अविशड्कस्तु कुशिकस्तथेत्येवाह धर्मवित् | न प्रबोधयतां तौ च दम्पती रजनीक्षये,धर्मज्ञ राज कुशिकने नि:ःशंक होकर कहा, “बहुत अच्छा'। रात बीती, सबेरा हुआ, किंतु उन पति-पत्नीने मुनिको जगाया नहीं
aviśaṅkastu kuśikastathetyevāha dharmavit | na prabodhayatāṃ tau ca dampatī rajanīkṣaye ||
Vua Kuśika, người hiểu đạo, không chút nghi ngờ đáp: “Xin vâng, thật tốt.” Đêm tàn, rạng đông đến, mà đôi vợ chồng ấy vẫn không đánh thức vị hiền thánh.
