किमनुक्रोश्य वैफल्यमुत्पादयसि मेडनघ । आनृशंस्याभियुक्तस्य भक्तस्यानन्यगस्य च

Transliteration

kim anukrośya vaiphalyam utpādayasi me dānagha | ānṛśaṁsyābhiyuktasya bhaktasyānanyagasya ca ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi bậc vô tội, cớ sao vì lòng thương hại lạc lối mà ngài lại muốn làm cho chí nguyện của ta trở nên vô ích? Ta đã gắn mình với đức từ bi và một lòng trung tín với đối tượng tôn kính của ta; vậy xin đừng tìm cách khiến thiện ý của ta hóa thành hư không.”
