अपर त्रिचत्वारिशो<् ध्याय: देवशर्माका विपुलको निर्दोष बताकर समझाना और भीष्मका युधिष्ठिरको स्त्रियोंकी रक्षाके लिये आदेश देना भीष्म उवाच तमागतमभिप्रेक्ष्य शिष्यं वाक्यमथाब्रवीत्‌ | देवशर्मा महातेजा यत्‌ तत्‌ शृूणु जनाधिप

bhīṣma uvāca | tam āgatam abhiprekṣya śiṣyaṃ vākyam athābravīt | devaśarmā mahātejā yat tat śṛṇu janādhipa ||

Bhishma nói: “Hỡi Đại vương, thấy đệ tử mình là Vipula đến nơi, Devaśarmā rực rỡ uy quang liền nói những lời này. Xin hãy lắng nghe, hỡi bậc chúa tể loài người, điều ông đã nói.”
