Devaśarmā–Vipula Dialogue on Ahorātra–Ṛtu as Moral Witnesses (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४३)
इत्येवं धर्ममालोक्य वेदवेदांश्व सर्वश: । तपश्च विपुलं दृष्टवा गुरोरात्मन एव च
ity evaṁ dharmam ālokya vedavedāṁś ca sarvaśaḥ | tapaś ca vipulaṁ dṛṣṭvā guror ātman eva ca, pṛthvīnātha |
Bhishma nói: “Hỡi chúa tể cõi đất! Như vậy, sau khi soi xét Dharma, suy tư thấu đáo về các Veda cùng mọi ngành phụ trợ, và cân nhắc công phu khổ hạnh dồi dào của cả thầy lẫn chính mình, Vipula—người thuộc dòng Bhrigu—đã quyết định trong tâm phương kế đã nêu để bảo hộ vợ của thầy. Nay hãy lắng nghe ta thuật lại nỗ lực lớn lao mà ông đã thực hiện sau đó.”
