अकृशो वायुभग्नाड्: शकुनिर्विकृतस्तथा । चतुष्पाद् बहुरूपश्च पुनर्भवति बालिश:
akṛśo vāyubhagnāṅgaḥ śakunir vikṛtas tathā | catuṣpād bahurūpaś ca punar bhavati bāliśaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Trong những lần tái sinh nối tiếp, một người có thể hiện ra trong nhiều trạng thái biến dạng—khi thì gầy guộc, khi thì thân thể suy sụp vì chứng phong (vāta), khi thì làm chim, khi thì mang dáng vẻ dị dạng. Rồi lại có lúc thành loài thú bốn chân, hoặc kẻ muôn hình vạn trạng, hoặc thậm chí là kẻ ngu độn.”
