विपुल उवाच कानि रूपाणि शक्रस्य भवन्त्यागच्छतो मुने । वपुस्तेजश्न कीदृग् वै तन्मे व्याख्यातुमहसि
vipula uvāca kāni rūpāṇi śakrasya bhavanty āgacchato mune | vapus tejaś ca kīdṛg vai tan me vyākhyātum arhasi ||
Vipula nói: “Bạch hiền giả, khi Śakra (Indra) đến, ngài hiện ra dưới những hình dạng nào? Và khi ấy thân thể cùng hào quang của ngài ra sao? Xin giảng giải rõ cho con.”
विपुल उवाच
The verse models a dharmic mode of learning: respectful inquiry into the signs of divine presence (form and radiance) so that one may recognize truth and not be misled by mere appearances.
Vipula addresses a sage and asks for a clear description of how Indra appears when he arrives—what forms he assumes and what kind of bodily splendor and radiance accompany him.
