भीष्म उवाच इत्युक्तो विपुलस्तेन तपस्वी नियतेन्द्रिय:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | ity ukto vipulas tena tapasvī niyatendriyaḥ |

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: Được ông ấy nói như vậy, Vipula—một ẩn sĩ chế ngự các căn—đã tiếp nhận lời dạy, đáp: “Xin vâng.” Rực sáng như lửa và mặt trời, kiên định trong khổ hạnh nghiêm khắc, một người hiểu biết dharma và nói lời chân thật, chàng thuận theo mệnh lệnh của thầy. Rồi khi vị đạo sư sắp lên đường, Vipula lại hỏi theo cách này.
