Yudhiṣṭhira thưa: “Muôn tâu Đại vương, ở đời này đàn ông cứ nhiều lần vướng mắc nơi phụ nữ. Bị một cơn mê hoặc lớn lao—dường như do Đấng Tạo Hóa an bài—họ hết lần này đến lần khác bị cuốn hút vào sự say đắm ấy.”
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse frames repeated male attachment as a powerful form of moha (delusion), implying the ethical need for vigilance, restraint, and dharmic regulation of desire—especially in discussions about social responsibility and protection.
Yudhiṣṭhira opens a query to the king he is addressing, observing that men are frequently drawn to women under a strong, seemingly divinely-ordained delusion, setting up a broader discussion on conduct and the protection of women.
