Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange (विश्वामित्र-जन्म: ऋचीक–सत्यवती–गाधि वृत्तान्तः)
विश्वामित्रस्थ वै जन्म सोमसूर्याग्नितेजस: । भरतश्रेष्ठ! इस प्रकार मैंने तुम्हें सोम, सूर्य और अग्निके समान तेजस्वी विश्वामित्रके जन्मका सारा वृत्तान्त यथार्थरूपसे बताया है
Viśvāmitrasya vai janma somasūryāgnitejasaḥ | Bharataśreṣṭha! iti prakāreṇa mayā tubhyaṃ soma-sūrya-agnisama-tejasvinaḥ Viśvāmitrasya janmanaḥ sarvo vṛttāntaḥ yathārtharūpeṇa kathitaḥ |
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong dòng Bharata, như vậy ta đã thuật lại cho con, một cách chân thực và đầy đủ, toàn bộ chuyện về sự ra đời của Viśvāmitra—người rực rỡ như Soma (Trăng), Sūrya (Mặt Trời) và Agni (Lửa).”
