पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
नच प्रेत्य विनश्यन्ति गच्छन्ति च परां गतिम् इसी प्रकार वे यजमान भी प्रसन्न होते हैं जिनकी दी हुई हवि ब्राह्मणोंके उपयोगमें आती है। वे मरनेके बाद नष्ट नहीं होते हैं, उत्तम गतिको प्राप्त हो जाते हैं
na ca pretya vinaśyanti gacchanti ca parāṃ gatim
Bhīṣma nói: “Cũng vậy, những người chủ tế (yajamāna) mà lễ vật họ dâng được đưa vào sự thọ dụng của các Bà-la-môn, thì tự tâm họ được mãn nguyện. Sau khi chết, họ không tiêu vong; trái lại, họ đạt đến cảnh giới tối thượng.”
