Educational Q&A

Consistent, proper honoring of ancestors, gods, Brahmins, and guests is presented as a practical expression of dharma that leads to one’s desired spiritual and ethical attainment (iṣṭā gati).

Nārada addresses Kaunteya with counsel, urging him to maintain daily reverence and hospitality toward key recipients of honor in Vedic society—pitṛs, devas, dvijas, and atithis—assuring him of auspicious results.
