Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
प्रकाशन्तो दिश: सर्वा विस्मयं परम ययु: । उन ऋषियोंकी तपस्याके प्रभावसे सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको प्रकाशित होती देख पाण्डवोंको बड़ा विस्मय हुआ
prakāśanto diśaḥ sarvā vismayaṃ paramaṃ yayuḥ | un ṛṣīnāṃ tapasāṃ prabhāvāt samantād diśaḥ prakāśamānā dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍavā mahad vismitaṃ jagmuḥ |
Vaiśampāyana nói: Khi bốn phương đều rực sáng, các Pāṇḍava bị cuốn vào niềm kinh ngạc tột bậc. Thấy mọi phương trời được soi chiếu bởi uy lực khổ hạnh (tapas) của các bậc hiền triết ấy, họ nhận ra sức mạnh hữu hình của sự tu trì.
