यह तीर्थ-सेवनका कार्य परम पवित्र, पुण्यप्रद, स्वर्गकी प्राप्तिका सर्वोत्तम साधन और वेदोंका गुप्त रहस्य है। प्रत्येक तीर्थ पावन और स्नानके योग्य होता है ।।
idaṃ dadyād dvijātīnāṃ sādhōr ātma-hitasya ca | suhṛdāṃ ca japet karṇe śiṣyasyānugatasya ca ||
Việc phụng hành sự viếng thăm các tīrtha là công hạnh tối thượng: vô cùng thanh tịnh, ban công đức, là phương tiện tốt nhất để đạt cõi trời, và là bí mật kín đáo của các Veda. Mỗi tīrtha đều linh thiêng và xứng đáng cho nghi lễ tắm gội. Và sự vĩ đại của các tīrtha này chỉ nên truyền dạy cho người “hai lần sinh” (dvija), cho bậc hiền thiện mưu cầu lợi ích chân thật của mình, cho bạn hữu đáng tin, và cho đệ tử tận tụy giữ kỷ luật—thì thầm riêng tư như một bí mật Veda được gìn giữ.
