तीर्थवंशोपदेशः

Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters

ब्राह्मणानां गवां चैव कन्यानां च युधिष्ठिर । येडन्तरं यान्ति कार्येषु ते वै निरयगामिन:,युधिष्ठिर! जो बाह्मण, गौ तथा कन्याओंके लिये हितकर कार्यमें विघ्न डालते हैं, वे भी अवश्य ही नरकगामी होते हैं

brāhmaṇānāṁ gavāṁ caiva kanyānāṁ ca yudhiṣṭhira | ye ’ntaraṁ yānti kāryeṣu te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi Yudhiṣṭhira, kẻ nào gây cản trở, xen nhiễu trong những việc nhằm mưu cầu phúc lợi cho các Brāhmaṇa, cho bò, và cho các thiếu nữ chưa chồng—kẻ ấy chắc chắn bị định phần vào địa ngục.”

Do not obstruct acts undertaken for the welfare and protection of Brāhmaṇas, cows, and maidens; such interference is treated as a grave adharma with severe karmic consequence (described here as leading to Naraka).

In the Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma instructs Yudhiṣṭhira on dharma.
