Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
राजन! जो गाते-बजाते, नाचते, खेल-कूदकर तमाशा दिखाते, व्यर्थकी बातें बनाते और पहलवानी करते हैं, वे भी निमन्त्रण पानेके अधिकारी नहीं हैं ।।
rājan! hotāro vṛṣalānāṃ ca vṛṣalādhyāpakās tathā | tathā vṛṣalaśiṣyāś ca rājan nārhanti ketanam ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Tâu Đại vương, những kẻ đàn hát, múa nhảy, phô diễn trò vui bằng trò chơi và thể nghệ, bịa chuyện nhảm, hay làm đô vật—cũng không đáng được thỉnh mời. Lại nữa, tâu chúa tể loài người, kẻ làm tư tế cử hành tế lễ cho Śūdra, kẻ dạy họ, hoặc kẻ tự hạ mình làm môn đồ của họ để cầu học hay phụng dịch họ—cũng không xứng được mời dự śrāddha.”
