Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
चिकित्सका देवलका वृथा नियमधारिण: । सोमविक्रयिणश्वैव राजन् नाहन्ति केतनम्,नरेश्वर! चिकित्सक या वैद्य, देवालयके पुजारी, पाखण्डी और सोमरस बेचनेवाले ब्राह्मण निमन्त्रण देने योग्य नहीं हैं
cikitsakā devalakā vṛthā niyamadhāriṇaḥ | somavikrayiṇaś caiva rājan nāhanti ketanam, nareśvara ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Tâu Đại vương, bậc chúa tể loài người, các thầy thuốc (vaidya), những kẻ phụ thuộc đền miếu để sinh nhai (devalaka), những kẻ giữ giới một cách hão huyền—giả đạo, và những kẻ buôn bán Soma—đều không được xem là xứng đáng để thỉnh mời.”
