Aṣṭāvakra’s Visit to Kubera: Hospitality, Temptation, and the Ethics of Restraint (अष्टावक्र-वैश्रवणोपाख्यानम्)
ततः प्रणम्य शिरसा इदं वचनमन्रुवम् । यदि प्रीतो महादेवो भक्त्या परमया प्रभु:
tataḥ praṇamya śirasā idaṁ vacanam abruvam | yadi prīto mahādevo bhaktyā paramayā prabhuḥ ||
Rồi ta cúi đầu đảnh lễ và thưa: “Nếu Mahādeva, bậc Chúa Tể, hài lòng bởi lòng sùng kính tối thượng của ta, thì ôi Īśāna, xin cho sự quy ngưỡng kiên định của ta đối với Ngài được bền vững mãi, ngày qua ngày không dứt.” Nói xong, Ngài Śiva đáp: “Hãy như vậy,” rồi liền ẩn mất ngay tại chỗ ấy.
