Gṛhastha-Vrata
पतिव्रता सत्यशीला नित्यं चैवार्जवे रता । कथ्थ॑ न प्रत्युदेत्यद्य स्मपमाना यथा पुरा
pativratā satyaśīlā nityaṃ caivārjave ratā | kathaṃ na pratyudety adya smayamānā yathā purā ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Vợ ta—người kiên định trong đạo làm vợ, tận tụy với chân thật và luôn ưa sự ngay thẳng—cớ sao hôm nay nàng không bước ra đón ta, mỉm cười như thuở trước? Có bổn phận nào nặng hơn việc phụng sự ta mà bỗng nhiên giáng xuống nàng?”
