एतद् रहस्यं परम॑ ब्रह्मणो हृदि संस्थितम् । ब्रह्मा प्रोवाच शक्राय शक्र: प्रोवाच मृत्यवे,यह परम रहस्यमय स्तोत्र ब्रह्माजीके हृदयमें स्थित है। ब्रह्माजीने इन्द्रको इसका उपदेश दिया और इन्द्रने मृत्युको
etad rahasyaṁ paramaṁ brahmaṇo hṛdi saṁsthitam | brahmā provāca śakrāya śakraḥ provāca mṛtyave |
Vāyu nói: “Bí mật tối thượng này—mầu nhiệm nội tại an trú trong chính trái tim của Brahmā—đã được Brahmā truyền dạy cho Śakra (Indra); và Śakra lại truyền dạy cho Mṛtyu (Thần Chết).”
वायुदेव उवाच
That the doctrine being introduced is a “supreme secret” preserved in a sacred lineage; its authority and efficacy are grounded in careful transmission from Brahmā to Indra to Mṛtyu, implying it should be approached with reverence, restraint, and ethical responsibility.
Vāyudeva identifies the origin and chain of custody of an esoteric hymn/teaching: it abides in Brahmā’s heart, was taught by Brahmā to Indra, and then passed on by Indra to Mṛtyu—setting up the legitimacy and sanctity of what follows.
