Anuśāsana-parva 17
यदा तेनाभ्यनुज्ञात: स्तुतो वै स तदा मया । अनादिनिधनस्याहं जगद्योनेर्महात्मन:,शृणु नाम्नां च यं कृष्ण यदुक्तं पद्मययोनिना । श्रीकृष्ण! जो वरदायक, वरेण्य (सर्वश्रेष्ठ), विश्वरूप और बुद्धिमान् हैं, उन भगवान् शिवका पद्ययोनि ब्रह्माजीके द्वारा वर्णित नाम-संग्रह श्रवण करो ।।
vāyudeva uvāca | yadā tenābhyanujñātaḥ stuto vai sa tadā mayā | anādinidhanasyāhaṃ jagadyoner mahātmanaḥ, śṛṇu nāmnāṃ ca yaṃ kṛṣṇa yaduktaṃ padmayoninā | śrīkṛṣṇa! yo varadāyakaḥ, vareṇyaḥ (sarvaśreṣṭhaḥ), viśvarūpaḥ ca buddhimān, tādṛśasya bhagavataḥ śivasya padmayoni-brahmaṇā varṇitaṃ nāma-saṅgrahaṃ śṛṇu || daśanāma-sahasrāṇi yānyāha prapitāmahaḥ |
Vāyu nói: “Khi đã được Ngài cho phép, ta mới tán tụng Ngài. Nay, hỡi Kṛṣṇa, hãy lắng nghe: ta sẽ thuật lại tập hợp các danh hiệu của Đấng Đại Ngã—cội nguồn của thế gian, vô thủy vô chung—đúng như lời Brahmā Đấng Sinh Từ Hoa Sen đã nói.
