न क्रोधो न च मात्सर्य न लोभो नाशुभा मति: । भवन्ति कृतपुण्यानां भक्तानां पुरुषोत्तमे
na krodho na ca mātsaryaṁ na lobho nāśubhā matiḥ | bhavanti kṛta-puṇyānāṁ bhaktānāṁ puruṣottame ||
Bhīṣma nói: Nơi những người sùng kính đã tích lũy công đức, khi lòng họ gắn chặt vào Đấng Tối Thượng (Puruṣottama), thì không khởi sân hận, không sinh đố kỵ, không có tham lam; và trí hiểu biết của họ không bao giờ hướng về điều ô uế hay hại người.
