Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)

सुदुस्तरार्थतत्त्वस्य वक्ता कर्ता च माधव: । तव पार्थ जय: कृत्स्नस्तव कीर्तिस्तथातुला

sudustarārthatattvasya vaktā kartā ca mādhavaḥ | tava pārtha jayaḥ kṛtsnas tava kīrtis tathātulā ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Chỉ riêng Mādhava vừa là bậc khai thị, vừa là đấng thành tựu chân lý thâm áo, khó vượt qua về nghĩa lý. Hỡi Pārtha, chiến thắng trọn vẹn và danh tiếng vô song của ngươi đến với ngươi nhờ nương tựa nơi Ngài. Lời dạy thật rõ: công phu của con người chỉ kết trái tối thượng khi đặt nền trên sự quy y Nārāyaṇa—đấng hộ trì khôn lường và là cứu cánh tối thượng.”
