Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)
बुद्ध्या विनयसम्पन्ना सर्वधर्मविशारदा । सस्मितं बहुबुद्धयाढद्या गज़ा वचनमब्रवीत्
buddhyā vinaya-sampannā sarva-dharma-viśāradā | sa-smitaṁ bahu-buddhyāḍhyā gaṅgā vacanam abravīt | pāvitrī manda-mandaṁ hasantī gaṅgā girirāja-kumārīṁ umādevīm uvāca ||
Được trang bị trí phân minh và lòng khiêm cung, lại tinh thông mọi phương diện của dharma, sông thánh Gaṅgā—giàu trí tuệ—cất lời với nụ cười hiền. Bằng lời lẽ trong sạch và cát tường, nàng thưa cùng Umādevī, ái nữ của Chúa Tể Núi non, như để dẫn dắt nàng bằng lời khuyên điềm tĩnh, xua tan sợ hãi, đặt nền trên hạnh hạnh chính đáng.
